The universal design brown serving tray with its own structure was made from shed palm leaf sheaths of the nut palm. The palm leaf sheaths used are leftovers from the palm tree, which normally rot on the ground. They are collected, cleaned with fresh spring water, placed in a water bath and pressed into shape by machine.

The individual tray measuring 2325 x 270 x 20 mm (corresponds to 1/2GN) is suitable for direct contact with dry food.

The universally designed product is extremely oil resistant and an attractive alternative to traditional plastic serving trays.

This product is certified according to DIN 13432 and is therefore considered "biodegradable". According to DIN 13432, more than 90% of the starting material for the product breaks down into water, carbon dioxide and biomass after a specified period of time under defined temperature, oxygen and humidity conditions in the presence of microorganisms or fungi. A composting time of 10 weeks is taken as a basis for testing the biodegradability*.
